Stitched Mug: Your Daily Dose of Happiness
We poured so much joy into creating the Stitched Mug. We wanted to craft a beautiful cup with a little more room, for those who love a generous pour or simply have a bigger hand. And we did just that!
With a spacious 16 oz capacity, this mug effortlessly holds your morning coffee, your midday juice, or your afternoon tea, helping you savor every sip throughout the day. It may look like soft, intricately stitched fabric, but it's actually crafted from exquisite ceramic, offering a comfortable and tactile experience in your hands.
Start your happy day with the Stitched Mug.
Stitched Collection: Time Sewn into Clay
The Stitched Collection is a series of quiet, tender objects that echo the texture of hand-sewn fabric. Instead of thread and cloth, they are stitched with clay and care—each piece slowly shaped by hand, offering warmth and presence to everyday life.
Artist Sohye creates with the intention of “dressing the old in something new.” Inspired by traditional Korean pottery and the textile practices once passed down through generations of women—quilting, patching, and hand-sewing—she constructs each form as if making a garment. Layers of fabric are sewn together into soft shapes, then carefully translated into clay, preserving every wrinkle, fold, and imperfection.
These cloth molds often collapse or crease, and she embraces those accidental distortions as part of the work. In her process, intention meets chance, and what emerges are quiet vessels of memory and resilience—ceramics not only shaped by hand, but stitched with story.
Artist: Sohye
Sohye is a ceramic artist based in Korea who explores the tactile possibilities of clay by mimicking the softness of stitched and quilted textiles.
Each piece is meticulously shaped by hand, capturing the texture of woven fabric and the charm of hand-sewn details.
Her Stitched Ceramics series combines the strength of earth with the warmth and flexibility of cloth, inviting everyday use with a touch of wit, care, and craft.
Care
Surface Appearance: Tiny cracks may appear on the surface of the wares due to the unique composition of the glaze. These are natural characteristics and do not indicate damage.
Cleaning: Dishwasher safe; for best results, use a soft cloth for washing.
Usage: Safe for microwave use; not suitable for oven use.
Handcrafted Variations: Each piece is handcrafted, resulting in slight variations in shape and color, making every item unique.
