Kyungsoo is a Korean ceramic artist. He draws inspiration from the minimalist spirit and restrained beauty of Korean white porcelain, adding his own modern design sensibility to his creations. White porcelain is a traditional Korean ceramic form, with its history traceable back to around the 10th century. Particularly in the 14th century, coinciding with the neo-Confucian ideology of the Joseon Dynasty, white porcelain became a symbol of frugal moderation and a representation of the scholars who governed society at the time.
